Reser Stadium Phase 2 Construction Starting Soon
Phase 2 of the Raising Reser project is underway. Soon the South end zone will be torn down and then rebuilt into a nice end cap to Reser.
Apparently the Reser web cam will be moved to show the contruction over the winter. Check it out here:

What an EXTREME waste of money!
Considering the Athletic Dept. is paying for it, who's money is it wasting?
By expanding now, they can make more money in the future. Don't you think they would have sold out the Civil War if there was 6000 more seats?
That money will allow all other sports to continue at OSU and reduce the dependence on money from the OSU general funds. Thus, saving the state and university money.
Hey "C Man", if you're so tired of the Beavs, why are you reading the OSU sports blogs?
Our stadium needs the continued improvement for many reasons, most of which revolve around the MAKING of money. Improved facilities entice better recruits, who win more games, who bring more people, who spend more money etc etc....
Holiday gifts making things tight on the homefront?
FYI, Reser Phase 1 was funded by Beaver fans. No taxpayer $$$.
I helped build Reser by donating to the University for the right to sit on the new side.
I'd be complaining about the huge kicker that the corporations are getting back in Oregon if I were you.
There are a lot of ignorant people around. I'm tired of hearing them complain that they tax dollars paid for the stadium. Then, I tell them otherwise, and they're all for it.
They don't seem to realize that the money raised helps not only the athletic department, but the school in general.
And whoever tried to relate our OSU-UO Civil War is completely out of line. It was irrelevent, and completely unnecessary. It's a NAME of a specific game, and has nothing to do with why people hate us.
WOW... "c man", I know these comments are a couple years old, but you are the most idiotic person in Corvallis. First off you dont know a thing about war, so dont speak for people who do know what its all about. And calling people pampered and ignorant, I would love too see you dropped of into a 3rd world, war torn country, and see you run all the way back to this horrible country of ours.
Any real sports fan understands the full potential of nice, state of the art facilities. If you dont than your an idiot.
