Chad Johnson, er, Ochocinco looked pretty impressive filling in for the injured Bengals kicker. I want to see if he can hit a 35 yard FG now.

OSU Beavers Basketball Team Given Some Love from ESPN's Doug Gottlieb
Doug Gottlieb posted an article identifying teams on the outside of Dick Vitale's Top 40 list. Two of the teams listed are Oregon and Oregon State. Unfortunately, only ESPN Insiders can see the article.
Here's what Doug has to say about the Beavs:
These teams have the goods to contend (Part II) - ESPN
This season is shaping up to be very similar to David Lucas' senior year. Lots of returning key players, a few good newcomers, and a go to guy down low.
Go Beavs!
Here's what Doug has to say about the Beavs:
These teams have the goods to contend (Part II) - ESPN
"Oregon State won the College Basketball Invitational this past season and returns its top four scorers. In the disciplined Princeton system of Craig Robinson, Roeland Schaftenaar found a perfect offense for his face-up game. In addition, the Beavs landed Rhys Murphy, an Aussie who is 6-7 and long and can really shoot. Incoming freshman Roberto Nelson is a thin but very capable 2-guard who will stretch defenses and make those cuts more open. With Gill Coliseum set to be finally redone and the energy of the biggest turnaround in college hoops at OSU's back, do not be surprised to see it in the NCAA tourney discussion."

Fall Camp Day 2, More Gill Photos
I went to fall camp day 2 yesterday and took a few new photos of Gill.
First a few notes on the practice:
On to Gill Photos. Things have changed a little bit. They are flushing out the trim a bit and the back side looks like it is moving along fast.
Gill Coliseum Paint Job (Set)
The trim is getting a darker color of brown:
And there is more grey trim:
First a few notes on the practice:
- Michael Philipp is a big guy. He looks like he could step in right now. Not sure about technique, but he is a big dude.
- Stephen Paea is healthy and a total beast.
- Ben Terry looks like he's ready to step in and be a force on the end.
- Canfield appears to have got the timing down with James Rogers very well. Two long bombs to James in the practice for TDs. One on Tim Clark.
- The secondary is a work in progess, but looked OK from what I could tell. There were not a lot of openings for the receivers.
- Quizz looks great!

Vote for the Beavers in the ESPN top 40 College Football Teams!
Oregon State is #41 on the list of fans "new football division". Vote to get Oregon State into the top 40!
Which 40 teams should make up our new Division I-A? - ESPN
Which 40 teams should make up our new Division I-A? - ESPN
In these tough economic times, we all have to cut back. We've taken it upon ourselves to trim the fat from the college football landscape and narrow the club down to the best of the best. No more cupcake schedules, guaranteed wins, running up the score or statement games against teams that can't speak up for themselves.
Below you'll find all 120 teams that participate on the FBS gridiron. Your job is to select the 40 that should remain. Should you select the 40 best all-around teams? Maybe the 35 best and five with potential to be great? We'll leave that up to you.
